Spirit of the Downs is a Sussex-based producer of award-winning brandy, grape vodka and liqueurs, proudly celebrating the heritage and terroir of the South Downs. Winners of 13 International awards, we partner with leading vineyards including Breaky Bottom, Sugrue South Downs, Stopham Estate and Plumpton College to repurpose grape pomace from sparkling wine production into distinctive, sustainable spirits. Fermented with champagne yeast, carefully distilled and aged in English oak and French oak barrels, our spirits develop depth, character and complexity. Rooted in sustainability and a "Leave No Trace" culture, we ensure nothing goes to waste, reusing our outputs to create new products or to fertilise the apple orchard at our neighbours at Trenchmore Farm.
