With a background in Operations Management and Finance i became one quarter of the owner of Tottington Manor Hotel & Restaurant in 2021, alongside my wife, Helen, and our business partners Jamie & Phil. My role at Tottington remains one of taking care of all of the aspects that are not guest facing, from Finance, Maintenance, Contracting & HR to Cesspits, Food Waste & Removal.
I’m most frequently found at a Networking Lunch, building the connections we need to be a successful business and to simplify my role by finding suppliers that can help us be more productive, reduce cost and allow our team to focus on great hospitality and great food.
With a clear focus on sustainability, working with local growers and producers for our menus, and taking concious decisions in all areas of the business, we are now working on a long term goal of water recycling and energy sustainability through electrification of the site and use of ground source heating and solar/batteries as well as grey water capture. Neither are yet implemented, but with development plans for 2028, we hope to being a step closer with the infrastructure to enable that.
Tottington Manor & TERRA Restaurant is a Hotel, Restaurant & Events Venue in the South Downs National Park, specialising in private dining, business retreats and weddings, with our planned development of the Tottington Site due to complete in 2028, our ambition remains to acquire 2 other boutique country hotels with 30 – 40 bedrooms, event space for 150 covers and a smaller restaurant & lounge area in the Sussex/Surrey/Hampshire areas.
