Tern is an independent, relaxed fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar that relocated from Worthing Pier at the end of last year. Tern version 2.0 remains a celebration of British produce and the people who grow, fish, and forage it. They cook with a zero-import philosophy, sourcing everything from within the British Isles and working in step with the seasons. Their menus are known for precision, creativity, and flavour that feels both familiar and exciting.
Their drinks list follows the same ethos: all-British wines, spirits, and cocktails that showcase the country’s most inspiring producers.
Before lunch we will enjoy some welcome drinks from Spirit of the Downs and founder Michael Yeoman will be on hand to tell us more about his extensive range of locally produced spirits all made using pressed grapes from the finest small batch Sussex Sparkling wine producers .
Chef Johnny Stanford and his team will then serve a beautiful 5-course tasting menu with carefully selected wines. Expect food of the highest culinary standard, at a level that has seen them listed in the Michelin Guide and awarded 2 AA Rosettes,
Post-lunch we will head into the Basement for another Spirit of the Downs cocktail to finish off.
Members are then welcome to continue to enjoy the venue as the pay bar will be open.
