I am acutely aware that the last five events have been in Brighton & Hove, so we are heading out Eastbourne for what I think might be the first time for TTBC.
We are being hosted by Shuck, a neighbourhood seafood restaurant and bar just minutes from the sea (and from the station).
We will enjoy a feasting menu with freshly shucked oysters and seafood cooked over charcoal. Their menu changes with the catch so expect bold and fresh courses that will make your mouth water. There will also be seasonal produce from their own Sussex smallholding making it about as locally sourced as you can get.
Each course will be paired with wines from Oastbrook Estate near Robertsbridge and we will be joined by owner and winemaker America Brewer who will talk us through the pairings.
If you are not a big fan of oysters or seafood don’t worry, make sure you mention it in your dietary requirements and we will ask chef to look after you. Similarly, let us know if your would prefer to have non-alcoholic drinks with each course.
